AT THE BEGINNING, EVERYTHING WAS NEW. NOBODY HAD ANY EXPERIENCE... THE PEACE OF MIND THAT COMES FROM BEING WITH A TRUSTED COMPANY
KEY IBERBOARD is a Spanish consulting firm that specialises in professional and legal advising services. For thirty years we've advised domestic and international firms on all aspects of their business that have legal ramifications.
... one of the leading Spanish firms that provide business process outsourcing, and we offer comprehensive payroll, accounting, and tax management services to major clients.
Our one-to-one service approach has earned us the trust and loyalty of many firms over the last thirty years. We put every effort into customer service and personalised treatment.
Cordiality, a positive attitude, quality, and reasonable service costs are our hallmarks. We set the difference.
If we could work with Japanese companies, we could also do it with multinational firms
Our first foreign clients were Japanese companies, and this couldn’t have been a better letter of introduction for everyone else. If we could work with them, whose quality requirements are known by all, we could also do it with multinational firms. And that was the challenge, the objective: being good at what we do in order to blaze a trail in the outsourcing and legal advising world, with our sights set on transnational corporations already established in Spain and on those that began coming ashore at the beginning of the 80s.
Firms on all five continents have entrusted us with their affairs. We maintain relations with independent professional service providers in the main cities of the world. This international network of collaborators allows us to provide assistance to our clients before they go abroad, thereby helping them to select a trusted professional firm in the destination country to cover their advising needs.
The business concept is simple: clients have to be given what they need, and we have to evolve with them, without skimping on resources. How? Everything starts with the team.
We invest in training people, we share knowledge and experience with them, we help them to develop all their potential, and we release their ability to make decisions so that this whole system, this positive and transformative energy, comes into play when taking care of clients.
The organisation is particularly horizontal. We believe in strong teams. We've developed a system of delegating decisions based on well-defined roles. The professionals in contact with clients are the drivers of the business, the starting point of the decisions and the solutions offered to our clients.
Management supports these professionals, facilitates resources, and places itself at their disposal so that projects move ahead on time. The company never stops, because management is not the centre of decision-making. This is how we avoid not having enough time: that poor executive who deals with matters as they arise instead of remaining focused on strategy. At our company, tactics ─what has to be done─ are decided by self-guiding teams, and these teams are responsible for executing specific processes, products, and services.
Training, involvement, professionalism, and proactiveness are the premises of our daily work.
Our idea has always been easy to understand: first, the clients; then, the personnel; and finally, the partners.
The founder of the Alibaba Group, when the company went public in New York, ended up saying the same thing. It's a question of clear priorities. The partners of Key Iberboard share the vision and transmit it to the team so that the team puts it into practice. We like the concept of a "signature company", with a few shareholders who work and believe in their business; a company with highly efficient teams, whose objective is to satisfy the clients, not the bosses.
The Automotive Industry, Foreign Banking, Energy and Transport, the Pharmaceutical Industry, Financial Institutions, the Machinery Business, Real Estate, Information Technology, and Consulting are just some of the most representative sectors within the framework of our professional activity.
Only one thing frightens us: being left behind.
Key Iberboard has little to do with that well-wrought image of companies that participate in the “Best Place to Work”, perhaps thinking that being chosen as company of the year will open up the gates to heaven. But that's not our objective. We do like to do things, and do them well. And we like the talent of our people to show in their daily work, as a team. We're motivated by them being happy, feeling like the business is their own and is being built by everyone. We believe that this distinguishes us from other companies. And when the team is satisfied, the clients are the first ones to benefit.
The key to our success is dedication to and enthusiasm about what we do, teamwork. In addition to good governance and manager responsibility. Generating positive attitudes and building on what we have —which is a lot— and not on what we need, which leads nowhere. Forget about our "default setting", which David Foster Wallace referred to. Stop working on autopilot and pay attention to what really matters, in life and on the job.
Key Iberboard is a company that believes in equal opportunities for men and women. 80% of our staff is composed of women, and this makes us different. Harmony between work and family is not a challenge at Key Iberboard, it is a reality. We've established a working system based on partners, in teams of two or three people, which facilitates compliance with the client service levels we commit to. And now that everything is organised, our managing director is also reconciling home and family life.
Transparency is another important value at our organisation. Personnel have access to the corporate information they need in order to be able to manage the firm together with management. This allows them to understand situations better, to take responsibility for their actions, and to get motivated about the initiatives and decisions they have to make.
Knowing how to listen to others is crucial at Key Iberboard. We encourage our people to contribute their ideas for developing the group, the business, the clients.
We're clear about our objectives and about how to achieve them.
The business objectives are centred on maintaining our position in the market as a benchmark in the outsourcing of payroll, accounting, and tax processes, and they are centred on strengthening our position as a boutique of legal services, specialising on civil, labour, tax, commercial, and corporate law.
These objectives are clear for our staff. How to achieve them is also clear: the strategy, the action plans, the commercial initiatives, the timing... all flow through the organisation and set the path to follow. Knowing where we are going is essential. And knowing when to change course in order to find other means or other paths: there's always a plan B.
Without analysis, there is no future, or evolution, or transformation, of either the business or people.
We are highly analytical, and we like to assess and evaluate how things are going: what's being done well and what not so well; what works and what doesn't; where there's margin for improvement.
The company always works in two environments: a simulation environment and an operating environment. Before installing any application or process, the functionality is tested and compared to obtain the best performance.
And the engine that drives the forward progress and development of our business is interest and curiosity, that permanent obsession to be up to date and incorporate new tools, products, and services that are useful for clients.
Our alliances with technological partners, such as Cxiome and Wolters Kluwers, competitive benchmarking, and continuous research into where a sector or industry is going are fundamental for ensuring we don't get left behind.
Our work procedures and our quality control systems are certified by ISO 9001:2008.
Our IT security and data protection systems are high level.
Because of the companies to whom we provide services and due to the sensitive data we process, our IT security and data protection systems are high level.
Annually, we hire the Corsaire IT insurance company to conduct a Penetration Test on our network infrastructure to detect any type of vulnerability in our systems.
Moreover, biannually the security departments of two global clients separately conduct a Third-Party Security Review of our operating, security, telecommunications, and data storage and transmission systems.
We'd like to talk with you. We'll expect you!
